Who we are

Empowering Families, Supporting Students

At DASS, we provide comprehensive educational advocacy and consulting services designed to help children with disabilities receive the education and support they are legally entitled to. Whether you’re just starting the IEP process or facing disciplinary issues at school, we stand beside you with expert knowledge, compassion, and proven strategies.

Services

IEP Meeting & Educational Advocacy

Navigating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process can be overwhelming. Our advocates attend IEP meetings with you, ensuring your voice is heard and your child's needs are properly addressed. We attend meetings with you in person or online, advocating with you to ensure your child’s rights.

Services

Behavioral Advocacy & Discipline Support

When behavior becomes a barrier to learning, we step in. DASS advocates support families through Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) planning, Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDR), and development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). We also assist families through resolution and due process meetings.

Services

Transition Planning & Post-Secondary Prep

As your child approaches high school graduation, we help you prepare for the future. Our transition planning services support families in exploring college, career, and independent living paths. We help build realistic, goal-driven transition sections in IEPs and ensure accommodations continue into higher education.

Services

Correspondence & Documentation Assistance

Writing letters to schools or administrators can be intimidating. We help families draft effective, professional correspondence for evaluations, service requests, complaints, and more—ensuring your concerns are clearly communicated and documented.
